NSU Soccer Stadium
The $6.5 million Athletic and Recreation Fields Complex opened in the fall of 2018 and it provides one of the finest training and competition facilities in the country. The complex is home to Northern State soccer and football, as well as NSU intramural activities. The Wolves soccer team competes from the state-of-the-art east field, while the football team practices from the west field.
The project includes a lighted NCAA optimum size turf soccer field, 120-yard turf football field, a 30-yard turf football end zone practice area, and a full turf futsal field. A total of 220,000 square feet of XtremeTurf was installed in July, 2018, which made this one of the largest turf projects in the country. XtremeTurf has been used in four of the last six Super Bowls, and is a FIFA preferred producer.
In the middle of the Fields is a Pavilion that includes chair back seating for fans, a soccer locker room and visiting team locker room, Athletic Training room, two Press/Media suites, dual-sided video filming deck, restrooms, concessions, offices, storage, and a large suite area with views to both sides of the Complex.
